We are currently seeking a Network Services/Support contractor who will be responsible for observing a complete work day as performed by technicians performing IR installations (including DSL), repairs and routines. Observations will be made using a handheld data capture device to record all identified elements of these work activities as detailed time and motion study data. At the end of each work day, the contractor will be required to transmit, via PC, study data to a team lead for evaluation and review. Contractor will have to pass certification training on the process to perform certified time studies. Some travel will be required. Contractor must have previous IR Telco Management experience (includes POTS installation, repair, routines, DSL and cable).
The IR ESM project is an effort to develop and implement Engineered Service Measures for the POTS and DSL functions. Time studies will be conducted to collect task specific data from field observations in selected work center and wire center groupings throughout the West region. ESMs are scientifically derived times it should take to perform measurable elements of a given task using approved methods, exercising normal skill, exerting normal effort and working under normal conditions. All candidates selected for these positions must attend a special training session and must successfully pass the test at the end of the session. All travel and expense requirements as explained in the Expense Policy will be enforced. In addition, the following are listed for clarification and will be enforced: Travel expenses are reimbursed in combination with an overnight stay. Meal expenses are reimbursed in combination with an overnight stay for that specific evening. For example, if travel is required on Sunday to be available for work early Monday morning travel expenses, including the evening meal, will be reimbursed for Sunday. If travel home is completed on Friday the travel expenses will be reimbursed but no meal expenses for that day will be paid. There will be no reimbursement for any type of alcohol. Travel time required to and from home and/or a hotel to the work location is not time worked and will not be considered for payment. Once at the initial work location for the day, if travel is required to a second work location in the same day, the time required to travel to the subsequent work location will be considered as time worked. Travel time back home or to the hotel from the last work location of the day is not considered as time worked. Time worked does not include meal breaks or other extended relaxation breaks. Time worked does include time spent in any activity required. Meetings, participation in fire drills, etc. are included as time worked. If the assigned technician is required to work OT to complete a job, the timing study will continue through that OT period as well. This is considered as time worked. This contract may end before the stated end date.

Description: Packaging Engineer Tracking Code 2006836 Job Description Purpose: To provide comprehensive design and maintenance of packaging standards for Perrigos COC/Rx topical packaging facility in Bronx, NY.
Primary Duties: This position provides all engineering support to assigned packaging components.
The incumbent calculates and organizes all relevant data, prepares specifications, cost estimates and justifications, and presents projects for approval as required.
The incumbent works closely with plant management and industrial engineering to collect, evaluate and present data, and provide leadership to internal task forces on engineering projects.
The incumbent coordinates the selection of new equipment and/or tooling by establishing performance standards and specifications, reviewing vendor information with other engineering and management staff and making final selection of manufacturer(s) or tooling source.
The incumbent researches and establishes specifications for new packaging of products and oversees their implementation.
Serving as project manager, the incumbent defines the scope of packaging engineering projects. Projects include, but are not limited to design, installation, modification and maintenance of pharmaceutical packaging operations, process improvement and cost reduction.
The incumbent documents IQ/OQ methods and ensures that all relevant records are reviewed as necessary. In this capacity, the incumbent evaluates and ensures compliance with cGMP, identifying and resolving any engineering problems affecting such compliance. Required Skills Scope of Supervision: The incumbent may provide work direction to task force members, and assist plant management in directing or coordinating engineering and maintenance staff. The incumbent works independently, exercising judgment in requesting support or providing information to management. The incumbent initiates project recommendations for review and approval by the manager.
Accountabilities: Provide sound engineering support in developing and implementing ANDA and miscellaneous new product development, capital improvement, process improvement, and maintenance projects.
Identifying and evaluating new technology applications or modifications which improve product quality, integrity, and overall plant productivity.
Investigate and resolve equipment or process problems impacting plant efficiency.
Problem Solving:
The incumbent works independently to identify and anticipate engineering problems and develop affordable and innovative solutions. The incumbent uses knowledge of cGMP and engineering standards to evaluate and recommend capital improvement, maintenance, and process improvement projects as well as to resolve processing problems.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to work independently. Must be able to read and analyze engineering and financial data. Must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary groups in task force teams. Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, and to travel to vendors supplying us components and/or work-in-process either in brite stock or complete package to evaluate their respective processes to meet Perrigos applicable standards for quality and compliance. Required Experience Knowledge and Skills:
The qualified candidate must possess a bachelor degree in Packaging Engineering, combined with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Education and experience should provide a comprehensive knowledge of methods in package design, testing, tooling, methods improvement, material handling, ergonomics, and project management skills. Strong analytical skills including the ability to develop sound economic analyses are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as is a commitment to customer service.
